Humour of the Soul

I recently returned from participating in a beautiful being's inner adventure (which I often do as a Journey therapist and inner adventures guide) and once again am absolutely amazed at the perfect wisdom and exquisite intertwining of humour and utter beauty that happens in these encounters of the Soul (sigh ....)
I will share a tiny part of her magnificent journey ..
The first thing that came to awareness was the impression inside of a kind of 3D 'corkscrew' that appeared to be busily occupied putting pressure bit by bit on a nut in a hard shell which already had a small crack in it.
The Soul's way of bringing your attention to something important is so amazing ... like it makes your scanning brain sit up and say.. oh, that's unusual .. must investigate ... ha! ha! Why a corkscrew, why a nut, why a crack ....?
It might not surprise you to learn that this person had been very much in her head lately and the 'nut', she realised had been a metaphor for her 'brain' (that part of us that likes to doubt, judge, criticise, analyse ...protect through fear and by putting on a hard shell) In this case the shell had cracked open a little and maybe this is what allowed her to open into the next unfoldment of her being.
She suddenly had a vision of her heart as a big, big warm and pulsating heart which extended beyond her body. Flowing through it was liquid Gold and tucked away right in the corner she could see her 'nut' which appeared quite small in comparison to her huge heart.
A picture can speak a thousand words they say and this emerging vision resulted in her immediately experiencing a regaining of proper balance. As she focused more on the heart she felt its loving 'liquid gold' wisdom compassinately embrace the useful but limited worldly vision of the nut ( which some might call ego).
And where before she had been caught up in conflict and turmoil, constantly questioning her actions and thoughts, now she found herself in a state of peaceful surrender to a higher wise benevolence and source of support.
Some time afterwards when I checked in again with this beautiful soul she reported that "it is true that my periods of conflict and turmoil, constantly questioning my actions and thoughts have diminished considerably"
I am so amazed at how powerful a few simple images can really be.
